Job Description:

LOCATION: Nonnewaug High School
 
START DATE: August 25th, 2025 through December 23rd, 2025
 
GENERAL DUTIES: Providing direct instruction to special education students across grade levels and within the Learning Center; overseeing para professional staff relative to students on caseload; establishing and maintaining frequent communication with parents of students on caseload; collaborating with regular educators, related service staff, student service support staff and administrators; evaluating students as needed using standards based and curriculum based methods; developing and evaluating measurable goals and objectives; collecting progress monitoring data; coding progress of goals and objectives; attend PPTs and assist with conducting functional behavioral assessments and designing behavior intervention plans.

QUALIFICATIONS: CT Certification in Special Education 165
Excellent teaming, collaboration and communication skills

SALARY: According to the Substitute Teachers’ Contract
